Delta Dental Coverage & Availability

Every dental insurance plan is unique to the patient. That means two different people who are both covered with Delta Dental insurance may still receive different coverage for their dentistry services due to specific plan elections. Your Delta Dental policy will lay out an agreement specific to your needs. Typically, in exchange for the payment of a monthly plan premium that is based on your plan elections, you’ll receive coverage for a percentage of the costs of specified dental services. To help patients keep their smiles whole and healthy, Delta Dental plans typically provide 80 to 100% coverage for dental checkups and teeth cleanings. Minor restorations like dental fillings are covered 70 to 80%. If you do need more advanced restorative dentistry services like dental crowns, your policy will typically provide 50 to 70% coverage. Other treatments may be covered by specific policies, but we will need to review your individual plan in order to offer accurate estimates.

Because we’re in-network with Delta Dental, our team has agreed to charge fees for dental services that are in-line with the maximums set by your insurer. This simply means that you will only ever have to pay the out of pocket costs of dental services. Out of network dental offices can charge higher fees for their services, but the patient is responsible for paying the difference. In most cases, differences in pricing are negligible, but when you work with an in-network dental office, you don’t have to worry about any additional charges.
